Dr Aggarwal is one of the lead authors for the recently published national guidelines regarding PFO closure. These guidelines outline who should and should not have PFO closure, how it should be done and who should be doing the procedure. They also highlight the important tests which need to be done, particularly for patients who have suffered from a stroke at a young age, prior to being considered for a PFO closure.
